'Human fruit #2', 2018
The task I set myself was this: What if I keep my nose and mouth in the same place whilst drawing? My nose and mouth are my breathing apparatus; essential for life. It is interesting how similar the resulting drawings are to the cross-section of fruit. They are also reminiscent of female sexual organs. I repeated the experiment three times and each time the general shape and pattern was the same. Could this be a new kind of self-portrait or signature?
