'Unconstructive'
Pipes everywhere. Protruding from the ground, usually in clusters. Often seen on street corners or surrounding telegraph poles or street lamps. A mystery. In this work a group of pipes have split from their intended function and location and have gone their own way.
In my site-specific practice I attempt to bring overlooked features of the everyday into focus through a process of absurd creation. My work is coloured by associations with childhood games and traps, thinly disguising a deeper sense of frustration and futility. Slippages in meaning and plays on possibility abound.
Shown here are a selection of photographs of a temporary outdoor installation in a quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of Skopje.
